The royal family is set to change Christmas at Sandringham this year as King Charles’s battle with cancer continues.
The Prince and Princess of Wales are focusing on their own festive arrangements at Amner Hall in Norfolk, with the Middleton family joining Chris Day and a second Christmas at Amner Hall. Camila, the Queen of Wales, has left Sandringham after Christmas dinner to host her own family dinner at Rymill, her home in Wiltshire.
The couple is said to be opting for a more middle-class Christmas, focusing on their children and Catherine’s parents. The next generation of Royals is on a mission to rebrand the Royal Christmas, transforming it from a grand, religious occasion to one more aligned with the future subject’s festive experiences.
This includes a more middle-class flavor, emphasizing eating chocolate, movie marathons, and generally sliding off the couch.
The royal custom of handing out presents on Christmas Eve instead of giving gifts on Christmas day is also being considered. The royal family will attend church on Christmas morning and meet members of the public.
