Princess Charlotte of Wales, aged nine, has been praised by royal fans for her impressive language skills.
She has been teaching herself Welsh on the dualingo language teaching app alongside her parents, William and Catherine.
Prince William also speaks French with his children and calls her “minet.” Princess Charlotte is also eager for the Spanish language to become her children’s second language.
Many British families are expected to learn at least one foreign language from childhood, such as Prince George and Prince Lewis, who are being taught Spanish by their mother, Princess Catherine.
Charlotte attends Lambrook School in Birkshire with her siblings and has picked up some Spanish phrases from her nanny, Maria Turon Balo. Prince William believes it is important to improve his Welsh skills and speaking abilities due to his royal title. He has been learning the language phonetically rather than taking formal lessons, unlike Charles who had formal lessons.
Prince William and his wife lived on Angley North Wales for three years from 2010 to 2013 while working as an RAF search and rescue helicopter pilot.
