Oops! Meghan’s desperate bid to buy Times Square ad fails after Netflix drops promotion of cooking show

The Duchess of Sussex, Megan Marle, has taken matters into her own hands after being snubbed by streaming giant Netflix.

Sources close to the situation reveal that Megan Marle, increasingly isolated in her Monaco Mansion, has personally financed a massive Time Square billboard to promote her failing Cooking Show. Netflix Executives often refuse to invest further marketing dollars in what one Insider calls a project with diminishing returns.

The billboard, which appeared suddenly last weekend dominates the New York City skyline with Megan’s carefully airbrushed image smiling down on tourists and locals alike.

The show has been plagued with production problems and lack of viewer engagement since its troubled Inception. Industry inside has said that Megan’s cooking skills proved to be less than impressive, with multiple dishes having to be prepared by off-camera professionals and then swapped in before the final presentation.

Netflix Executives became concerned when focus groups described the show as inauthentic and preachy, with many viewers noting that each recipe circled back to her personal struggles with the royal family.

Netflix Executives were reportedly blindsided by the advertisement, which was not coordinated with their marketing department.

This unprecedented move indicates serious trouble from Megan’s relationship with the streaming service. After the much publicized $100 million deal signed by the sussexes several years ago, Netflix has seen little return on their investment with several announced projects never materializing and others receiving lukewarm receptions.

Real estate sources suggest that Buckingham Palace is watching the situation with a mixture of vindication and concern, as this public unraveling validates the institution’s assessment of his suitability for Royal life.
