King Charles has appointed King Abdullah of Jordan and King Hammed of Bahrain as honorary Knights Grand Cross of the Royal Victorian Order, a rare and notable exception.
The honor is usually reserved for the British royal family or heirs to other monarchs. The two monarchs celebrated their silver jubilees during King Charles’ visit to Britain.
The Royal Victorian order was established in 1896 to recognize extraordinary service to the British Empire. King Charles celebrated his 76th birthday in a low-key manner and opened two coronation food hubs in London.
