King Charles removes Princess Anne from prestigious role, giving it to Catherine

King Charles III has promoted Princess Catherine of Wales to the Royal ranks, raising eyebrows about her evolving role and significance in the monarchy.

The monarch has granted her the authority to issue Royal warrants, a privilege previously denied to Princess Diana by Queen Elizabeth II.

This makes the Princess of Wales the fourth current royal to hold this distinction. The news that the Royal mother of three is to be allowed to issue her own Royal warrants is a welcome sign as she is recovering from her cancer diagnosis and is back carrying out public duties.

Royal warrants are always approved by the Monarch and are awarded to people and companies that regularly supply goods or services to the Royal household. The Prince and Princess of Wales are preparing to lead the British royal family into a new chapter focusing more on meaningful action than traditional ceremonial roles when they ascend as king and queen.

The new title also aligns her with high-ranking Royals like Queen Camila, Princess Anne, and Princess Alexandra.
