The Prince and Princess of Wales made a surprising decision for their three children in 2022, moving from their London home in Kensington Palace to the modest Royal terms home of Adid Cottage.
The family slept in their nearby home, where two men scaled a 6ft fence to steal farm vehicles.
The King and Queen were not at the residence at the time, but the Whales family were believed to be nearby. No arrests have been made at this stage, and an investigation is ongoing.
The children, George, Charlotte, and Louie, have a more ordinary lifestyle away from Palace walls, with Prince George wanting to work in a restaurant, Princess Charlotte an interest in nursing, and Prince Louie an interest in a fighter pilot.
The family’s move was driven by their desire to be closer to Queen Elizabeth and the four-bedroom property offered them more privacy and space to be normal.
The Whales family is happy with their downsize from Kingon Palace, as they can live in complete privacy and enjoy the benefits of a smaller home.
