King Charles III is facing a unique royal situation as he ages and battles cancer. He has few working members of the royal family left to rely on and delegate to help him shoulder the load.
The AL Monarch has been meeting with his eldest son Prince William and Princess of Wales, who has been a source of comfort for each other. Charles has taken great pains to give her plenty of space to cover for the inevitable moment that he and Camila pass on the baton.
Charles’ appearance has changed significantly since attending St Mary Magdalene in early 2020. His gray Visage has become increasingly frail, and his engagements have curtailed and sales trimmed.
Queen Elizabeth had a large compliment of working members of the royal family to call on to help out, including Prince Charles, Prince William, Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, Prince Edward, Princess Alexandra, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, and the Duke of Kent.
Charles’ isolation and loneliness have been evident in recent events, such as attending the 80th anniversary celebrations of the liberation of Aitz.
However, there is no significant reset button on his work, and the gradual return of the Princess of Wales into more public engagements is encouraging for her full recovery and the future of the monarchy.
